Dave Hardy presents a celebration of John Goddard and
his extraordinary record store Village Music, located in Mill
Valley, California. (If you've never been there,
click here to see what you've been missing!)
The event will be held on Sunday, September ninth, 2007, at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, California. The address of the Great American Hall is: 859 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco. Join us as we give thanks and love to John for his contribution to local music lovers, International performing artists, and YOU! It’s such a great pleasure for me to offer public entrance to this event. The rules of admittance are outlined below. Also, know that this event will be recorded and videotaped. Your acceptance of tickets states your approval of images and audio of yourself to be used in any manner. The documentary may be shown in theaters, or released on DVD or other media. Photographs will also be shot during the course of the night. Following the event, I’ll post photos of the show at my site. Here are some important things to remember:
The Ticket Window at the Great American Music Hall will open at 4:00 PM on the day of the show for ticket sales. Limited seating is available to the public for this event. Tickets will be $200. each, and are cash sales. Since this is basically a private party, we are not able to use traditional methods of credit card charges which involve the Great American Music Hall's usual purchasing conveniences. We will be offering special T-shirts made for this event at the party, so prepare for other cash purchases if you wish. T-shirt design courtesy of Geoff Gans, Bob Dylan's highly respected poster artist.
Doors are scheduled to open at 5:00 PM and the event goes from 6:00
until 10:00 PM. Please see FAQ about Great American Music Hall

A: The funds from the sales of balcony seats goes directly to the expenses of the show. Q: Where can I park? A: The AMC Theater at Polk & O'Farrell is one block from the Great American Music Hall. They offer discount prices with our validation. So does the Cathedral Hill Hotel. Street parking is free after 6:00 P.M. Q: Is this event completely not-for-profit? A: Yes. Q: Will food be available? A: Yes. Q: Will the bar be open for business? A: Yes. Q: Can I bring in my own food? A: Yes, but no glass bottles or alcohol. Q: You mentioned a video shoot of the event. What is that, exactly? A: A documentary is being made, and it may be shown in theaters, or sold on DVD. It's not strictly archival. Q: I have issues to ask you about. Can I contact you? A: Yes. Send your email to David@ this web site.
